Google Violates Its Own Advertising Guidelines
Michael Gray pointed this out earlier and I found it rather amusing.

You saw it here folks – Google technically in violation of their own advertising guidelines by having arrows pointing at their ads… tsk tsk.
Jessica Simpson’s Dog Stolen By Coyote
Via Jessica Simpson’s twitter:
My heart is broken because a coyote took my precious Daisy right in front of our eyes. HORROR! We are searching. Hoping. Please help!

Brutal.
Dominate Google Business Listings
So you’re setting up a local business and you’ve heard of this cool feature within Google called Local Business Center. For those of you chiming in who aren’t aware of Google Local Business Center, it allows you to add a free listing to Google for local business searching, so far example if someone were to search for Fort Lauderdale Screen Printing, essentially your screen printing companies name would appear like this:
What this means is that you can get geo-targeted listings for your “offices” and therefore dominate an entire area for a specific niche.
So… how do we do this?
If you do not have multiple offices, one way is to purchase non-USPS P.O. boxes in the different cities you are targeting, and use those addresses as your “offices”. The reason why you need a legitimate address is because Google is going to send you a little verification document. No big deal. Another way you could do this is by purchasing Virtual Office Space – these are neat little “offices” that do not really exist or are only used when needed. Cheap, and get the job done.
A cool feature about Google Business Listings is that it allows for you to send in a list of all of your “offices”, so that you can add all of them to the database in one click of the button. All it requires is an excel spread sheet that fits their format and you’re good to go.
For those of you who don’t want to send in all of the offices at once, you can get some PO Boxes and then pay some kid $10 to go to the local library in the respective areas and post the Google Local Business Ads. This allows Google to recognize the IP address / geo-location of the computer used to post the ad and could help in getting the ad approved easier.
Have fun.

Sounds delicious…

SEO Ethics
My stance – who cares? Do what you gotta do to get to the top. It’s a dog eat dog world. I’m an asshole, I know. Fuck it.
What’s New?
…NOTHING.
School is back in full force. The second week of classes is coming to a close and I am already counting down the days until the end of the semester. What a good student I am…
Gator Football starts back up again this weekend. Last year, they won the National Championship and to celebrate we hopped on the scooters and took to the streets. So many drunk college kids wanted to high-five, and Alban and I being the assholes that we are, took advantage of the situation and high-fived everyone we could and “accidently” slipped on impact and smacking the unsuspecting fans in the face. Good times.
My computer is still deader than dead. Being a deadbeat broke college kid means I can’t even afford a new one. If you want to be a pal and hook me up with a new laptop or co-sign for me to finance a new computer, I am welcoming the help at this point. I have spent too many nights slaved away at the University of Florida’s Computer Labs. At this point, I wouldn’t be surprised if the nice fellows working the front would start bringing me coffee whenever they run to Starbucks down the street.
Finishing up some new sites and working more on We Are The Underground. The print zine is almost done and pre-orders will be up probably tonight. So glad that I finished it up because it was beginning to stress me out. In the end though, it’s all for the kids and for the core so I don’t really care. It’s packed with interviews, vegan recipes, how-to’s, and more so be sure to check it out!
With that said, I’m going back to finishing up some sites.
