Short version: it's free. Organizers are responsible for what they publish. Keep it honest, legal and independent. We can remove anything that breaks these rules.
1. The service
BornToExpire (https://borntoexpire.com) is a free guide to independent events in Oslo. Anyone can browse events, add them to a calendar and subscribe to calendar feeds without an account. Organizers with an account can publish events. There are no fees, ads or paid features.
2. Organizer accounts
- Accounts are created by hand on request. See how to get an account. We may decline a request without giving a reason.
- Keep your password secret. You are responsible for everything published from your account.
- Tell us at iam@borntoexpire.com if you think someone else has used your account.
- You can ask us to delete your account at any time.
3. What you can publish
Events must be real, take place in or around Oslo, and be open to the public. Keep the information correct and up to date, and cancel the event on the site if it doesn't happen.
Don't publish:
- anything illegal, or events that break the law;
- hate, harassment or discrimination against people or groups;
- false or misleading information, scams or spam;
- ads that aren't events, or links to harmful websites;
- other people's personal information without their permission;
- text you don't have the right to use.
4. You are responsible for your events
Events go live as soon as they are published and are not checked first. Each organizer is responsible for the content of their events and for the events themselves, including tickets, safety, permits and anything that happens there. BornToExpire only lists the information and is not the organizer of any event.
5. Permission to show your events
By publishing an event, you allow us to show it on this site and in our calendar feeds, and to let visitors copy it into their own calendars. You keep any rights you have to your text. Calendars that have already copied an event may keep it after you change or delete it.
6. Removing content and accounts
We may hide or delete any event, and deactivate or delete any account, if it breaks these terms or harms the site or its users. We usually tell you why, but we don't have to give notice first.
7. For visitors
Event information comes from organizers. We do our best, but we can't guarantee that it is correct or that an event takes place as described. Check with the organizer if in doubt. You attend events at your own risk.
8. No guarantees
The site is run on a voluntary basis and provided as is. It may be unavailable, change or close at any time. As far as Norwegian law allows, we are not liable for any loss caused by using the site or by events listed on it.

How we handle personal data is explained on the privacy page.
10. Changes and contact
We may update these terms. Changes are shown on this page with a new date, and organizers are told by email about important changes. Norwegian law applies. Questions: iam@borntoexpire.com.
